However, in their second game they came unstuck against the team led by the incoming captain Ivan Furey. In the second week we had the reigning champions Eamonn O Carroll’s team in action, edging out Tom Mc Donagh’s team in a very close battle. In the second game on the night Greg Sullivan’s team had a narrow victory over a very strong Mark Doherty captained team which featured new recruit Jimmy O Donnell. The victory was mainly due to the impressive putting of Greg’s new signing Tom Reddan who taught his compatriots a thing or two! Tomorrow, Friday night, will see newcomers Triona Daly’s team in action along with Lady Captain Margo Birmingham’s and Peter Muldoon’s teams and we anticipate another two close games.
