first_imgOne of the general goals of the Administrative Department for Tourism of the County of Istria is the sustainable development of tourism in Istria, and the development of Istria as a quality tourist destination. Following these goals, which are based on the Master Plan for the Development of Istria Tourism from 2015-2025, the Eco Domus program was launched, which aims to encourage diversification and raising the quality of accommodation through harmonization with the principles of sustainable development and sustainable tourism.  The Eco Domus program is intended for small tourist accommodation facilities that are categorized as holiday homes or as apartments (only if the entire facility in which they are located is managed by the same person) with a total capacity of up to 30 beds.  For now, the Eco Domus program includes 26 facilities that meet at least 50 basic criteria in 12 categories, namely: Villa Baldaši, Baldashi (Vizinada), Villa Milica, Sajini (Barban), Villa Ladonja, Manjadvorci (Barban), Apartment Margerita, Bezjaki (St. Peter in the Forest), House Una, Kranjčići (Svetvinčenat), Villa Dubravka, Pinezici (Tinjan), Agrotourism Ograde, Katun Lindarski (Pazin), Villa Marten, Brajkovici (Kanfanar), Apartment Oliveto, Medulin, Villa Dolce Vita, Motovun, Villa Gašparini, Cerion (Visnjan), Zatka, Čepić (Kršan), Lavarino Royal, CasaMenta and Villa Kabola from Marcana, 4 Seasons House, Roč, Apartment Nik, Mihatovici (Nova Vas Porecka), Villa Aria, Višnjan, Home & Apartments Sabina, Pula, Villa Deep Blue, Rabac, Villa Benic, Gradišće (Žminj), Villa Ana and Villa Nina, Karigador (Brtonigla), Villa Gelci, Market (Labin), Veli Kus, Badnjevari, (Žminj) and Villa Moncalvo, Golaš (Bale). As part of the Eco Domus program, through the criteria for inclusion and obtaining a stamp, local values ​​are evaluated through informing guests about local cultural and historical heritage, local natural values, facilities and events, landscaping with indigenous plant species, promotion of traditional products and souvenirs, on the possibilities of learning and / or participating in traditional customs, promotion of local cuisine and typical food products, etc.  Side dish: Public invitation for inclusion in the certification program for Eco friendly accommodation in Istria The basic characteristics of Eco Domus accommodation are social and ecological responsibility, complete protection of the environment and health, use of eco-certified detergents, use of eco-certified toiletries, use of natural materials, water and energy saving and waste sorting and recycling. “It is a continuation of activities related to the diversification of private accommodation in the Istrian County, which we started with the Istra Bike & Bed project, and continues with the Eco Domus program, which encourages private renters to adapt and offer their facilities and services in a responsible and sustainable way. “ They point out from the Istria County Department of Tourism and add that when choosing facilities, preference is given to renters from those areas where systematic selective waste collection and disposal is already carried out, who are registered for year-round operations and have been renting for at least 2 years. “Sustainable tourism development is very important because it meets the needs of tourists and the domicile population. BP strengthens in-house team with hires from PPF, Aon Hewitt

first_imgSmart joined in June from consultancy Aon Hewitt, which he joined in December 2012 as senior researcher for bond managers.Prior to that, he spent nearly three years as managing director at Switzerland’s Helvetica WMP.However, Smart spent the majority of his career at Lazard Asset Management, leaving Invesco in 1995 for his new role.Prior to his departure in 2009, he was the firm’s UK head of fixed income.Sara also joined in June, after nearly five years at the PPF as principal fund manager, in charge of asset allocation and investment strategy.In June, he told IPE the lifeboat fund would look into building its funded hedging strategy following concerns over the price of derivatives trades.Prior to joining the PPF, Sara spent more than nine years at HSBC Global Asset Management, starting his career at WestLB Asset Management in 1994.BP IM declined to comment on either appointment.Both appointments come after Sally Bridgeland resigned as chief executive of the fund.Bridgeland, who had been chief executive of BP Pension Trustees for nearly seven years, left in April and has since confirmed she will join Dutch outsourcing advisers Avida International.The fund slightly underperformed its 15% benchmark in 2013 – the last full year under Bridgeland’s tenure – returning 14.7%. Jeffrey ends Radical year on a high
