Amritsar Administration offers Heritage Street for film shoots

first_imgThe Amritsar Administration announced that the location of Heritage Street, which leads to the holy shrine of Golden Temple, can be utilised for film shoots, free of cost. Film-makers will be offered all facilities with negligible formalities. Recently Yamla Pagla Deewana 3 was shot around the Heritage Street without any charges. However, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee of Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) has banned movie shoots in the Golden Temple complex since March 2016.To woo the film-makers, the State Tourism Department held a meeting with some producers, who were inclined to shoot in Amritsar, especially near the Golden Temple, but were hesitant due to “official permission” hustles.Kamaldeep Singh Sangha, Deputy Commissioner, Amritsar who is also Project Director of Heritage Street, said, “We convinced them that Punjab is a peaceful state and they should come over to shoot for their films. It is an irony that despite having good air, rail and road connectivity between Amritsar-Chandigarh-Mumbai, the tourism industry in Amritsar could not prosper. To increase tourism by way of promoting Amritsar, Heritage Street is the first step.”last_img read more

I need @LarryFitzgerald to convince my GF to drive with me to the game today #BeRedSeeRed— Jp Walther (@jpwalther) December 17, 2017Fitzgerald obliged — maybe not in the way Walther expected. Maybe JP had worked with Fitzgerald to plan popping the question. As it stands, though, it seems this is just Fitz causing some trouble. We can only hope that Fitzgerald hasn’t set the expectation bar much higher than the reality of what JP was trying to accomplish here. Not exactly the response I was expecting from him haha— Jp Walther (@jpwalther) December 17, 2017Everyone on Twitter enjoyed the joke, even if it causes JP some trouble.Fitz…NO.— Derek Montilla (@Cap_Kaveman) December 17, 2017 Dude is looking at your answer like pic.twitter.com/UYCfI0w6Wh— Joey Runyon (@runyon16) December 17, 2017 pic.twitter.com/cNDGuuk8zD— Josh Nacion (@Josh_Nacion) December 17, 2017 He went to Fitz-Jarred-al. 😂😂😬😬— Jonathan Cragle (@JonathanCragle) December 17, 2017 pic.twitter.com/uHmAU87UJA— Nolan Belfer (@WeatherGeeker) December 17, 2017 ……and that’s how I married your mother. lol pic.twitter.com/hInOQGd30b— Merri Maywether (@Merri_Maywether) December 17, 2017center_img The 5: Takeaways from the Coyotes’ introduction of Alex Meruelo “Dear JPS girlfriend,” the Cardinals receiver wrote, “Come with him to the game and he will propose for Christmas!!
